Excellent meat grinder. What set this apart is the ability to completely dissemble and wash in dishwasher. Not something others including Kitchenaid own meat grinder can do.

I spent way too much time looking at options on Amazon to replace my Kitchenaid brand grinder and sausage stuffer. Look no further as this is definitely the highest quality grinder for Kitchenaid out there. Fit and finish are excellent. It performs as it should, and clean up is a breeze because everything except the blade and plate can go in the dishwasher. If you are on the fence, come on down and press "place order." As soon as you open the box you'll know you made the right decision.

I am unable to review because I have not yet received the order. The last update on delivery was 11/28/20 which stated it was in transit. That little truck they show has now moved in days. Apparently USPS is having major problems. Nothing else can be said.

Worked exactly as advertised and described. Easy to clean. Stainless steel is the only way to go. Others advertise stainless steel but only the cutter is. Make sure the entire grinder is stainless.

Construction is absolutely bomber. This is a tool I will pass on to my grandson (as I'll still be using it during my son's adulthood and heck I'll buy him one too). Easy to clean, built with love and attention, grinds meat! Does what it says on the tin.

I am impressed with the unit. Being stainless and dishwasher safe is great. Came with three different size grinding discs. And the extra large tray to put the meat in for grinding is fantastic!!!!!

Excellent quality. NO PLASTIC OR ALUMINUM PARTS! I had the plastic, kitchen aid grinder that just broke. Bought this as a replacement. It is soooooo much better. It does a great job. I put some big pieces of meat in it that would have choked the old. This didnt even slow down. Worth the price.

The meat grinder worked just as advertised. It was easy to use, assemble and disassemble. And it was great to be able to clean it in the dishwasher instead of by hand.

Received this product in a very fast time. I opened the package and was surprised on the QUALITY!
Polished SS and HEAVY. I used it today for a chuck roast coarse grind for chili and it worked perfect, this grinder attachment should last forever! Easy clean up, I would recommend this product and website to others thinking about grinding their own meat. Quality product, quality shipping and reasonable cost. I will be a repeat customer.

works as advertised. Cleanup a breeze, rinse chunks,throw in dishwasher; comes out spotless.
Wanted something that took up less counter space than my 1 hp grinder, Fit the bill since Kitchen Aid stays out all the time, just store grinder in a drawer.

The stainless steel grinder fits and works perfectly on my Kitchenaid mixer. We are making our own dog food and it handled partially frozen chicken flawlessly. Thanks for a great product.

I have been in search of the perfect burger and I have conquered every aspect except grinding my own meat. Everything I have read says grinding your own is best. This grinder works flawlessly. Well built. I love that it is all stainless steel which means you can put it in the dishwasher which means safer from a sanitary standpoint. It fits perfectly on the KitchenAid. I wish I would have gotten the sausage maker. That will be next. Oh and I have found cheeseburger nirvana. I will never ever buy store bought ground beef again.

Thought i would just order the kitchen aid plastic attachment and decided quality is too important! This baby grinds with ease. Fit, finish and function are outstanding. The whole thing is dishwasher safe and just top notch. I bought it to grind lamb for meatballs, but will now grind all my meat! Couldn't be happier!!!

When I decided to purchase a meat grinder I did a lot of research to find a quality grinder for my kitchenaid mixer. I researched different products from different companies, made of different materials. I read reviews, return policies, and even researched the Better Business Bureau. This grinder was highly praised and really didn't compare to similar products on the market. However it was twice as expensive. Needless to say I have learned a thing or two about purchasing a quality product versus a cheaper product. Now some of my past work experience has been as a chef and a clerk in a butcher shop, so I am pretty knowledgeable about food. As a chef I liked getting creative with different cuts of meat and grinds. As a single parent I wanted to have more choices and control over what I was cooking. The savings alone from buying a large roast, ham, turkey and grinding it myself is ATRONOMICAL! Imagine getting ground turkey for .47 cents a pound by grinding it yourself. Last weekend I made a blend of ground beef 80/20, ground pork shoulder, and smoked ham. I made hamburger patties. Delicious! I cannot recommend this grinder enough! I love it!

First shipping took two days. Not that this helps grade the product but it makes a statement about their service.
Second this product makes your kitchen aid stand mixer into an outstanding grinder. Design and quality very good no issues. Fit on my 300 watt classic plus was right on.
Third I did 7 pounds of pork and it went through the grinder like butter. No strain on either the kitchen aid or grinder. Motor never got hot and it was a fast process.
Fourth clean up is simple, easy and fast. I did a hand wash since it takes like 5 minutes to clean up and dry.
In conclusion I'm sure the will last a lifetime. Note: however not something that I feel would be what you want to use to grind up a whole hog, deer or cow. Because it is a small grinder it would take a lot of time plus I'm not sure a regular kitchen aid mixer would be best for extended grinder. My estimate is that this set up works best up to 50 pound and would take under an hour to grind that much.

I bought the Meat Grinder from Smokehouse Chef's website without the sausage making kit since they didn't have it on amazon. After having had a bad experience with the Chef's Choice meat grinder due to poor fit and damaging my KitchenAid I wanted to make sure the next one I bought wouldn't have that problem.
It fits securely and grinds like a dream. You really can't get that loose lovely texture in hamburger patties if your meat has been preground way ahead of time and the chili grind is pleasantly meaty and I'll have to figure out what to use the coarse grind for.

We finally used this last weekend, and we love it. It is really easy to assemble them together and easy to separate them for cleaning as well. It is nice to have two different size of grinder so we can choose depending on the dish we are going to cook

I had my eye on this meat grinder attachment for sometime. If you already own a KitchenAid stand mixer (575 watts or greater), it's definitely the way to go. The all stainless steal construction is what sold me, and I can verify that all parts seem very solid. I have only tested the medium grind, and it operated with total ease. When I finished, I was surprised by how little waste was left inside the auger. Wonderful product!

I absolutely love this product. Made in USA. Being stainless steel it is dishwasher safe and easy to sanitize after use. I wish smoke chef would make a juicer for the kitchen aid. But bravo to your company for the products you do have.

Pleasant surprise to see the excellent quality of this grinder. As if I bought it 50 years ago !! Easy to assemble and to attach to my KitchenAid 600. Couldn't have worked smoother. Clean up was also painless. LOVE IT !

This was the first time I used a meat grinder attachment on my kitchenaid . This fit perfectly and was very effective. I used it for bulk venison/pork sausage. It was very quick and I had no problems.

This grinder was better than I had hoped for when I ordered it recently. I borrowed my friends KA attachment and was not suprised by the grey meat as I had read in reviews. The Smokehouse grinder will last a long time. It is made really well. I have only used it to grind 3 pounds of pork and did it in minutes. I found it very easy to clean and no grey meat to be found. This is an exceptional item and well worth the money..

I decided I would grind my own meats to give me flexibility in blends for hamburgers and sausages. I also wanted to utilize my kitchenaid mixer to the fullest. I researched grinder attachments and settled on the smokehouse chef stainless steel grinder. This was an excellent decision! I've used it several times now and I'm so pleased. Excellent grind quality, and clean up is very easy. The build quality is well above average for kitchenaid attachments. I had a couple of question and Keith was quick to answer. You can't go wrong with this product or company!

This is by far the best meat grinder we've ever used. We ground wild boar, venison, and bacon with zero problems. Clean-up was a breeze! I highly recommend this product! I also highly recommend the company - ordering, shipping, customer service, everything about this company is top-notch!

Delivered two days after ordering. Worked as advertised. Ground 3 lbs of venison in a matter of minutes. Very easy to clean using dishwasher. A must for anyone with a KitchenAid mixer with the need to grind meat.

Used the meat grinder today, first time. Ground 8 lbs of brisket, about 8 minutes. No problem what so ever. I cleaned it and put it back in my freezer. That's where I am keeping it. Used the 1/4" die, sliced brisket into 1" steaks the cubed it, Went through machine with no problem. Did not even re-refrigerate the meat. Grinder did not clog. Excellent product. If you don't have alot of meat to grind or you don't mind doing a pound a minute this is the part you want. Worth the investment. My Kitchen Aid was warm but no where near hot.

In this age of cheap imports and plastic junk, it was refreshing to receive a product that blows the competition away. This grinding attachment is not a toy. It will last your lifetime and you can pass it down to your kids. Well machined stainless steel and the fit and finish of the components are very good. I'm impressed. I've already used it for making sausage and it works as well as it looks. Kudos to the people who build these grinders!

This has to be the best grinder out there. Stainless steel allows me to throw everything in the dishwasher and sterilize with heated wash/dry and no rust at all. I use this to grind chicken thighs with bones on speed 1 (KitchenAid HD series) for my cat food - that's right, this thing grinds meaty chicken thighs with bones with no major motor heat up! I use this unconventionally and I am sure any warranty is void, but this works perfectly for my purposes. Fast delivery - super product.

After research of different grinders that attach to a kitchen aid mixer, I settled on this model due to the stainless steel construction and being able to run it through the dishwasher. I ordered it the morning of Nov. 5th, and it was on my doorstep Nov. 7th! That's being packaged and shipped from Texas to Oregon in 2 days for 6 bucks. I don't know whether to be more impressed with butcher-baker or the United states postal service. Regardless, the grinder is top notch, a quality attachment that I expect to get many years of use out of. I've learned over the years that it's best to buy quality, and buy once. One issue I noticed (not sure if this is Kitchen aid issue or was specific to my unit) and it was easy enough for me to fix with a Dremel tool: where the attachment slides into the kitchen aid, there is a small stud that keeps the attachment upright. It would hit before the attachment was fully inserted and wouldn't go in far enough for the set screw to seat. I used a Dremel tool to open up the slot in the kitchen aid mixer, and then it slid in fine. Regardless, it was a minor issue for me. I'd buy this meat grinder again without a second thought.

I have yet to use this product, but visually it is so superior to anything else offered that fits a Kitchenaid mixer. Fit and finish is excellent. I'm certain it will outperform my expectations.
Plus, one item was left out of my shipment--and SC immediately responded to my email to ship the omitted component. Great people to buy from.
The initial greater cost over the cheap, plastic, Kitchenaid offering, will pay me back with durability and performance. Buy the best--cry once works for this--as with most things.
No instructions are required. You have to be brain dead not to be able to attach and use this grinder/stuffer. However, as an aside--grinding meat works best after it has spent a few hours in the freezer. This goes for all kinds of homeowner units. Not frozen, mind you, just very firm--and the meat being very cold reduces heat in the grinder.

Works as expected, seems very sturdy and durable. Shipping was quick. I wish some general instructions for use of the product were included, but other than that I couldn't be happier.
