Note from Smokehouse Chef: A reminder - especially when using industrial size meat grinders. When closing the ring on any meat grinder it is usually not necessary to use a tightening wrench. Do NOT use the wrench and Do Not overtighten the ring. Gently close it by hand and stop at the point of contact. If you hand tighten the ring your plates, knives and motor will last MUCH longer. Also, the parts will not heat up as much and cause the meat to come through the cutting plates mushy.
